Watch on Soap2day. In the 1970s, more than 2,000 fishing boats anchored off Heuksando every day and tens of thousands of people flocked to the spectacle. Formed along the migration routes of yellow croaker, brown croaker and Spanish mackerel, the market was a vast floating community where not only fish but liquor, groceries, fishing gear and fuel changed hands. Yet with changing technology, depleted resources, an aging fishing population and the climate crisis, the pasi vanished from both the map and memory. This film records its last traces at Heuksando, the very heart of the pasi.
