Watch on Soap2day. Though a relatively conventional documentary portrait, compared to HIGHFALUTIN, this film by Claude-Oliver Rudolph (better known as an actor, thanks to his roles in films like Werner Schroeter’s PALERMO OR WOLFSBURG, Wolfgang Petersen’s DAS BOOT and the James Bond movie, THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH) sheds a great deal of light on Volker Spengler’s life, career, and outsized personality. — Anthology Film Archives
